Thurlow House Midmar is an exclusive country venue, overlooking the Midmar Dam and the extensive rolling grass hills of Kwa Zulu Natal Midlands, specialising in hosting that special day or weekend. 

We are a Self Catering facility - we supply the venue, you create your own special occasion.

Situated on the banks of the Midmar Dam outside Howick, Thurlow House offers magnificent gardens, with plenty of open space for the kids to play and explore. The dam gives the opportunity for Dad to launch his boat and do some fishing or skiing with the family. The accommodation is n old Midlands homestead, which boasts 6 tastefully designed bedrooms, sleeping 12 people comfortably, together with large kitchen, and lounge facilities. Floor sleeping options are available. Then to top it off, there is a stunning large pool and braaing facility available within a section of the expansive garden.

Further to this the expansive well manicured gardens provide ample space and areas for setting up of marquee tents etc. for that special occasion.

Two excellent golf courses are available within a short motoring distance of Thurlow House, with magnificent walks. In the outer areas of Thurlow House there are the many assorted arts and craft shops on the Midlands Meander.

The staff at the venue are trained and will give our guests the best attention at all times.
