Directions:
Please be careful when using Google Maps – it takes you off route and the house appears in the water.
So please do not rely on GPS unless using the following coordinates – 29° 31’ 14.17” S; 30° 11’ 22.84” E or follow the direction pointers below:

If you are coming from JHB:

• Take the N3 to Durban.
• Continue on the N3 past Howick and the Midmar Dam Wall.
• Then take the off-ramp to Howick (South) Underberg – Off-ramp 99 (R617)
• At the T-junction turn right onto the R617 Boston to Underberg / Bulwer Road.
• Continue on this main road for approximately 6.2 kms.
• You will go past Midmar Concrete Products on the right, and Villa Patrizia Farm on the right.
• Over a small rise, you will turn right at the Thurlow Midmar main entrance gate onto a dirt road.
• Go along this dirt road in the Midmar Reserve for 2.9kms. You will see on the right a sign that says Thurlow House, turn right at this sign. Go for 0.6kms and you will drive into the house entrance, there will be a swimming pool on your left, then the main house.
• If you go straight along the dirt road you will go past the Ezemvelo Staff Houses, and into the Ezemvelo Workshop, which means you need to turn around and go back a little way.

If you are coming from Durban:

• Take the N3 to Johannesburg.
• Continue on the N3 past Pietermaritzburg.
• Then take the off-ramp to Howick (South) Underberg – Off-ramp 99 (R617)
• At the T-junction turn left onto the R617 Boston to Underberg / Bulwer Road.
